NO PEACHES

Went to California without nothing to loose

But

There ain't no Peaches in Southern California

Living on the street without nothing to eat

No friendly neighbors

Just heartless faces

There ain't no peaches in Southern California

Living on the street without a Georgia Peach

A few Friendly strangers

but

Mostly heartless faces

No safe place to sleep

Gotta watch-out for crazy's

and

Pigs on the beat

There's more sunshine here

but

No Georgia Peaches

So give me back the rain

with good stuff to eat

Went to California without nothing to loose

but

No peaceful woods

Just noisy smog

So mind as well go back ...

Where they can find me

Tried to run from All reminders

but

There's nowhere to hide

Going back to Georgia

with an ache in my heart

Going to catch a train heading southbound

'Cause there's No Peaches In Southern California
